Is My Dog Judging Me? is a small, free, no-signup weekend project. This page explains, plainly, what happens to a photo you upload.

What we process

When you upload a photo, it's resized and re-encoded in your browser before being sent to our server. This process strips EXIF metadata, including any GPS location data your phone may have embedded in the original file.

Where your photo goes

The resized photo is sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. We do not store your photo on our server — it exists only in memory for the duration of the request and is discarded immediately after.

Rate limiting

To keep the service available for everyone, your IP address is temporarily processed by Upstash to enforce a request limit. It is not linked to any photo or stored long-term.

What we don't do

No accounts, no cookies, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising, no selling of any data. We simply don't collect enough to have anything to sell.
